This Tomato-based Basil Sauce is the perfect blend of chunky & strained tomatoes, this is a moderately thick sauce infused with the fragrant flavor of fresh basil. Serve it with shorter, chunkier cuts of fresh or dried pasta (like rigatoni). It's also great as a dressing on white fish, for veal pizzaiolo, or for slow-cooking pork tenderloin.
Sealed jars are shelf-stable for 2 years and good in the refrigerator, after opening, for about a week. A 15oz jar is good for about one pound of pasta (3-4 people).
